Wanted to catch up with you and tell you how Blaze is doing. I have to say once again, thank you. He is a wonderful dog and we love him immensely. He is a fantastic hunting companion and is always ready to go, go, go. He and I hunted a lot last year; almost every weekend till March. Can't say that I was as successful as he was but we made a fine team. I am still interested in getting his senior hunt test done... Also, I would love to hunt with you again this year if you get time. I hope all is well for you and that the Lord is blessing you and your family. Blaze says hi and hope to hear from you soon.

Well my first hunting season with Tux just ended and I thought I would drop you a line to tell you how it went. I consider Tux to be my first dog so this has been a learning experience for both of us. When I picked him up from you he was already understood the "whoa" and the "here" command. This proved to be great, as I could always bring Tux in if necessary and he always held his points to the flush. As the season went on I leaned lots obout Tux's ability. He proved to have much more stamina than most dogs I was around, ran big if you wanted him to and moved with considerable ground speed. I also became convinced that he had a very, very good nose throughout the season. I hunted him with Vizsla's, Brittanys, Pointers, Setters and other Shorthairs and he by and large found more birds than the other dogs. Most of the season I hunted him with a friend of mine who has 3 dogs, they made quite a team.

I hunted him mostly on quail but some pheasant also. He loves to retrieve those big pheasants. It was awesome to stand on a hill and watch him range on the valleys and canyons of the Oklahoma panhandle for quil. He also loves to get in  water, he never turns down the chance to swim in a pond or creek.

He has been great around the house also. He is so well behaved, he may be a machine in the field but he loves to lie around the house. He never scratches at the door, gets on the furniture or goes in the house. He has been a great dog to have around. Everybody loves him, whether it's in the field or my friends that come over to the house. Thank you!
